Sara Ouhaddou (b. 1986 in Draguignan in France, lives and works between Paris and Morocco), is an artist and designer whose practice has developed over many years through collaborations with artisans from her local community.
Ouhaddou is interested in preserving traditional craft techniques using them as the base of her contemporary practice.
In 2014 she took part at Le Maroc et ses cultures program, Marrakech, Morocco, French Institut, also laureate at the residency program Africa is Now, South Africa, Johannesburg and ARAB FUND FOR ART AND CULTURE grant.
In Januray 2015 she took part at the art resicendcy program Atla(s) Now, Marrakech.
As winner of ART JAMEEL 2015 ISCP RESIDENT ARTISTS she will take part from June 2015 at their residency program in New York, where she will act as a bridge or conduit for North African artisans based within the greater metropolitan area.
