THROUGH THE WORDS
Relational bridges, participation coordinates and points of contact between subjects of various nature or education. Building on these communication landscapes over a lengthy period, Bianco-Valente have outlined an artistic path which emphasizes visual nomadism and (virtual) superconnection in order to set up a polyphonic, multicultural and multidiscipline development plan. This is an approach that brings about a completely different take on perceiving an art piece, on a new world rising from the communicational horizons of the digital society, on an interoperability to be used in reconsidering the bond – either tight or weak – as the primus movens of creativity and of human feelings.
With Through the Words, the exhibition which will inaugurate Rocco Orlacchio's VOICE Gallery (Marrakech), the art duo establishes a new economy of intellectual exchange. Almost as if rearranging the pieces of a site-specific, emotional puzzle, Bianco-Valente actually builds particular mental interconnections to measure and connect different degrees of creativity, right up to the point of suggesting projects and programs in which the being proposes itself as singular and plural at the same time (to say it with Nancy).
The stitching performed on a cartographic picture snatched from the local culture, the photo cut-out sent to a friend to receive, in exchange, a written reference (completely built on the image received) or, the other way round, a text sent to a local (Marrakech) artist to see what image the text suggests to this artist-reader’s mind. Thus, Through the Words is a work plan in which the image weighs up the word as much as the word weighs up the image in a trip among the weave, the magic and the overlaps of life and its many meanings; all in all a life that remains the horizon in which the plot of the art piece is woven (Angelo Trimarco).
